We Couldn’t Do It Without You
We’ve released a ton of software features in the past few months and all of your feedback has been invaluable. Thank you for help and understanding as we work through these updates. With your help, these beta releases will be ready to go by the fall!

We developed a new page that allows you to access all of our practice resources (blog, podcasts, webinars, and books). Easily search our content, ask an AI agent, or browse by category.

Every year we hire new blog cohorts. Meet the writers that will be creating content for you in the coming year.
🎓 Roompact Fellows 🎓

In an effort to expand our support of schools, we developed the Fellows program. Roompact Fellows act as scholars-in-residence to provide support to Roompact schools. They will be contributing to our blog, podcast, and webinar series throughout the year. They’ll also be available and present at our R2 conference!

An additional service the Fellows will provide is availability throughout the year for free 1-hour consultations for Roompact members. See an area of expertise in their bios that you want some guidance on or have questions about? Reach out to us to schedule a time with one of our Fellows.
⬆️ Software Updates ⬆️

Tasks and Staffing are our two newest beta feature releases. We’re continuing to refine them as we head towards the 2026-2027 academic year. Expect them to be fully ready to go by then.

The Schedule feature now includes a button that allows you to subscribe to a schedule calendar. This will allow staff to see shifts in the calendar app of their choosing (such as the Calendar app on the iPhone or in a Google Calendar) without needing to log into Roompact.

We’l be offering a Webinar on Wednesday, May 6 at 3pm Eastern to give you the latest updates on our Staffing feature and when you can expect it to exit beta. Look for the registration link in an in-app announcement inside Roompact’s software.

High engagement, low stakes, and improvisation are at the core of this new game-based learning approach to staff training. Originally designed for Graduate and Full-Time Incident Response training, Duty & Dragons uses game mechanics from Role-Playing Table-Top Games (RPTTG) to provide an innovative and effective approach to practicing real-world scenarios, conflict navigation, and other common incidents needing staff intervention in a safe, supportive, and semi-structured environment. This session aims to review the context, materials, and outcomes of D&D Training Sessions with Residential Life staff and ends with practice and resource sharing for colleagues to adapt to their own team of adventurers!

Utilizing a curricular approach for learning allows student affairs professionals to be intentional in designing and implementing learning strategies that are reflective of students’ development.
