The Office of Housing at The University of Tennessee at Martin is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Hall Director of Cooper Hall. The Hall Director is responsible for implementing a residence life program that promotes community development and student engagement in the residence halls. Each unit in housing contains anywhere from 260 to 500 students whose demographic is mainly undergraduate students. The Hall Director will focus their position on staff supervision and development, student discipline, program development, property management, and on call response to a variety of situations. The Cooper Hall Director will supervise 6 Resident Assistants and 3 Desk Attendants. This is a full time live in position with a competitive salary, 1-bedroom furnished apartment, comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities and a tuition waiver. The expected start date for this position is anticipated to be June 1, 2026.

The Assistant Director for Living Learning Communities (ADLLC) is a member of both the Residence Life central office team and the Residential Education leadership team. In collaboration with the Director of Residential Education (DRE) and the ADAIP, the ADLLC contributes to the vision and strategic direction of the LLC program, ensuring that all initiatives are intentionally designed to help students feel connected, supported, and valued within their residential experience. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively convey the program’s purpose, vision, and implementation strategies to key stakeholders.

Salary: This is an SEIU 888 Professional Union position, Grade P16. Anticipated salary based on qualifications/experience within P16 range: minimum: $59,674, 25th quartile: $67,879 and midpoint of $76,085.

Community Director

The Community Director (CD) is responsible for establishing and sustaining positive residential communities that embolden the motto and mission of Pro Humanitate through practices of experiential learning, community service, and student behavior management. The Community Director is an educator who works to develop and coordinate residential communities of approximately 400 – 600 undergraduate students. The CD works to expand and heighten the intellectual climate and culture of Wake Forest through co-curricular initiatives, mentorship, faculty engagement, curriculum implementation, and the management of a comprehensive residence life and housing program that serves 4000+ on-campus students. As a live-in staff member, the CD is a full-time, twelve-month position that reports directly to an Assistant Director of Residence Life and supervises 15 to 26 Resident Advisers. Due to CDs being the primary professional staff members available in the residence halls for student contact, some evening and weekend time working with students is required.
