Newly Redesigned Support Portal
For Both Professionals and Student Staff
We’ve completed the transition to a new fully redesigned support portal. You can find guided walkthrough tutorials on all of our features, training materials, case studies, and further professional development resources all in one place!
Software Updates
Per Question Permissions
There is a new option in Forms when you create a question in your Form Templates. A new gear icon pops up a series of new options allowing you to select who can view the question and who can answer it. This can be especially useful for forms that require staff “approval” or may include “FOR STAFF USE ONLY” type questions.
Allow Staff To Look Up Any Residents
A new set of options in your Organization Settings allow you to change what directory information and history staff members can access for residents. For each staff access level, you can enable additional location/resident view options. This preserves the staff member’s normal customization and notifications settings, while allowing them to do a directory look up. This can specifically be useful in duty situations where a staff member may need to search for a resident to confirm things like their resident status, ID number, birthdate/age, etc.
Events Now Links Into Attendance
Previously Attendance and Events were fully separate features. You can continue to use it this way if you wish, but when proposing a program in Events, you now have the ability to auto-create and link to an Attendance Event as well. This will save staff time from not having to duplicate their program in both features.
QR Code Link to a Form
Roompact’s software already allowed you to generate a direct link to a form. This can be useful when you share a link in a text message, email, or on a website, We’ve now aded the ability to generate this link as a QR code. The QR Code Link functions the same was as Copy Link. This can then be displayed at a desk, on a bulletin board, or at a check-in/check-out station.
RA360: Resources for Student Staff
Our ACUHO-I Intern, Seferine, has been hard at work about building out and extending our resources for student staff members. RA360.org is a page that pulls together 40 resources pages covering topics, competencies, and skills to help your student staff. We’ll continue to refine and enhance this over time.
RA Door Dec Competition
Roompact is holding its seventh annual door dec contest! This contest is open to student staff (RAs, CAs, etc.) at schools who currently use Roompact’s software on their campus. The door decs must be sent by September 30th at 11:59pm local time to be considered.
The team at Roompact will judge all submissions and choose ten winners. We will publish a post announcing the winners and highlighting all of your amazing entries. Each Top 10 Winner will receive a $50 Etsy gift card.
