Winter Olympians in their Sport or RAs doing their Job?

The title of this article may have you a little confused, however student leaders in housing have responsibilities that can be compared (and maybe even confused with) what winter olympians are up to. Take this quiz to see if you are able to distinguish if it’s a description of a Resident Assistant (RA) doing their job or an Olympian in their sport!

She sweeps the floor whenever the time calls for it. It’s always important to go above and beyond to get the job done.

When the ring sounds, they’re off. Their body responds before their mind even can. Their speed amazes everyone.

Every moment is intentional when he begins. Time is short and everything must go well. If he falls, however, he is still the expert, elegantly landing on his feet to complete his mission. People can feel the peace in the room even after he leaves.

As she awaits the evaluations, she considers the incredible jumps she has made to get to this point and also all the ways she knows she was pushed in the wrong directions.

As the first person on the scene, he scrambles to break up the fight, while he waits for someone with more authority to break the fighters apart. 

Hockey

Everyday, every other second it seems, they are whipping out new tricks. They go out of their way to impress anyone who may be watching, which they know is a lot of people because of their cool position.

Working together, the team will start their time in a sprint, as at the beginning there is always the most to do. One senior on the team will be in charge of steering the group to success as they glide to the end.

His time performing is short. He is amazing to watch but he’s immediately burnt out and done.

At the end, they cry and smile as they receive their well deserved awards! They’ve worked hard to accomplish all they have this year and deserve all the praise and adoration. 

All RAs and Olympians! While your roles are quite different, you all have to work hard to be in the positions you are in. Great work!
