Welcome to the nation’s capital! We’re doing some special things to support our residential curriculum schools–whether you’ve been using the approach for a while, or if it’s new to you. Best of all, this is all complimentary (free!).
Roompact has secured ICA registration discounts for schools that use our software. Before you register with ACPA, please reach out to us for some special instructions.
If you’re attending the Institute on the Curricular Approach (ICA), we’ll be holding pre-institute and post-institute sessions. Because the Institute is generalist in nature–speaking to all types of student affairs departments–we’ll help you contextualize and apply what you’ve learned specifically for a residence life department, and even more specifically, as a Roompact software-using school.
We’ll also have free books, workbooks, handouts, and other resources you can use during your Institute experience to help you get the most out of your learning. Our fellow staff member, Dr. Paul Gordon Brown, is a 12-year veteran faculty member of the Institute. He will be on-hand to check in with you throughout the Institute, meet with your team, and do consults.
We’ve scheduled these sessions to book-end the official ICA schedule, so you won’t miss a thing!
Please register your attendance for our sessions by emailing a member of the Roompact Team (or send it on in to support@) to let us know you’ll be in attendance. This will help us plan our numbers accordingly.
Pre-Institute Session and Social

Pre-Institute Session
Time: 5pm-6pm
Location: Wilson/Harrison/Jackson Room
The Pre-Institute Session will prepare you for your Institute experience. We’ll provide printed workbooks and other resources you can use during the Institute, go over how to apply what you will learn to a residence life department, and build community between you and other Roompact schools in attendance.
Social
Time: 6pm-8pm
Location: Potomac View Room
Free adult (and non-adult) beverages and nibbly bites.
Post-Institute Session
Date: Tuesday, October 21st, 2025
Post-Institute Session
Time: 5pm-6pm
Location: Jefferson Room
The Post-Institute Session will help you contextualize what you’ve learned and prepare to put it into practice. We’ll provide a sample residence life curriculum, answer lingering questions you may have, hear advice from current Roompact curricular schools, and provide tangible examples of how you can use Roompact’s software to help in your curricular efforts.
